Filters

All Fujioh ventilation units are designed with a highly effective performance aluminum filter that is dishwasher safe. so there is no need for a mesh disposable filter. However, there are optional specialty filters for those looking for a specific style of ventilation.

Lighting

Light bulbs must be purchased separately. For the ultimate in energy efficiency, we offer LED lighting for most of our models.

Fujioh blower packs and range hoods all use various types of bulbs for the best energy efficiency and lumens output. Please refer to the Feature section on the product page for individual specifications.

Model Selection

There is no exact formula, since you have to take into consideration of various factors such as the type of housing, the kitchen style, the physical ductwork, and the range output all play a major role in determining proper ventilation.

Here is a guideline that most industry professionals go by.

1. Determine the maximum BTU of your range or cook top.
2. Contact the cook top or range manufacturer for specifications, or add individual burner BTU output ratings together for maximum BTU rating.
3. Divide total BTU by 100 to get an estimate of the amount of CFM that you may need.
4. Keep in mind that the BTU rating given by manufacturer represents the highest possible BTU output of the stove or cook top.

NOTE: Recommended range hood ventilation rating greatly depends on the type of cooking performed. Inflated performance ratings are very common on range hoods that are not HVI Certified. HVI CERTIFICATION ASSURES EXPECTED CFM AND NOISE LEVELS.

All Fujioh blower pack models are built to fit in a wide range of wood hoods. We carry over a hundred liner choices and we also offer custom liner fabrication so your blower pack will fit perfectly in your kitchen.

Unfortunately not at this time. Updraft ventilation still yields the best results because cooking vapors and oil fumes are heated and rise naturally.

All fujioh kitchen ventilation models allow you to exhaust over 100ft in length.

We do not recommend reducing the duct size because it reduces the CFM effectiveness and increases noise and vibration.

Noise

There are a few things that you can do to self-diagnose your problem. First, please make sure that the backdraft damper opens, and the same with the exterior damper.

If the duct work is connected by duct screws instead of tape, check to make sure that all the screws are tightened.

Open the unit to check if the nut is loose on the fan motor shaft.

Check if the fan is coming into contact with something when spinning.

Visually check if the fan wobbles, or spinning irregularly when turned on.

Fujioh liners come in biscuit, silver metallic, white, black, and stainless steel. Custom powdercoat is also available.

All you have to do is let us know the dimensions and our engineers and fabricators will take care of the rest from drafting to finish.

External blowers require built-in controls and wiring. Please contact us so we can custom design your ventilation system according to your duct work layout.

Maintenance

The aluminum filter should be washed once a week or minimum twice a month, depending on the amount of cooking that is done.

The charcoal filter should be replaced every three to six months, depending on the amount of cooking that is done.
